The William S. Fontana Educational Scholarship Fund

Bill Fontana has led the Pennsylvania Downtown Center, the Pennsylvania Main Street Coordinating program, as the executive director from May 1, 2000, through June 30, 2019. During that time, he has equipped the organization with the skills and innovation to be a statewide driver for business district and neighborhood revitalization. He believes in Main Street and he is a champion for Elm Street, Pennsylvania’s neighborhood revitalization effort. Bill has always been one of our strongest advocates for the Main Street and Elm Street programs in PA and throughout the country and was instrumental in the creation and development of Elm Street.

To honor Bill’s decades of contribution to the realm of community revitalization in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Downtown Center Board of Directors has created the William S. Fontana Educational Scholarship Fund. This fund exists to serve emerging leaders in the realm of Main Street and Elm Street initiatives throughout Pennsylvania. Please consider donating to the fund in Bill’s honor.
